Fresh seafood! Quick service. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Portions are just right.

They do fried seafood right. We got 2 captain's platters. Very good. Its a lot of food. We should have split one.

Never had bad food here, very consistent. Have however had mild issues with staff, some are very kind, some are very rude.

There's stuff here. It's tasty stuff. Used to be dead, but they cook it well.

Not what it used to be. This was an institution growing up. Can’t complain about service because it was excellent, but the food is just so-so now.

Me and my lady stopped there on our way to profile falls last weekend.. I ordered the Buffalo box for 10.99.. the wings, tenders and cheese bites on top of a bed of fries.. everything was delicious.. the staff is friendly.. this is my first time eating here. But I would say, in my opinion. That this place is a safe bet to stop at for a quick bite to eat if you are passing by.. I will add pictures of the restaurant, menu and food as always..

My FAVORITE place to eat when I'm at the lake. My family and I went THREE times during our week there! I can't get enough of their lobster roll - it's delicious!!!

Not a bad dig quick grub and ride!

I just left there 20 minutes ago. We got the whole belly clam baskets.If there were any belly's I didn't find any! The clams were very small and looked and tasted more like strips. Very over priced for my taste.I grew up on the coast of Maine and hands down, this was the worst fried clams I have ever eaten in 60 years! I will never go back there for clam baskets.Don't bother.

The lobster rolls aren't bad, but I wouldn't call them the best in NH or even in the nearby area. Still worth a visit if you want good and reasonably priced food

Decent food. Two stars because the service was awful. They messed up my order, and when I asked politely for the right item, the dark-haired girl in the red shirt rolled her eyes at me and said she would have to make me pay again. I said, “Why? The person who took my order made a mistake, I just want what I ordered.” And she replies, “yeah we don’t do that.” I said, “fix orders? even though I didn’t do anything wrong?” She slammed my ticket down and shouted out back to make the missing items. Ended up with chewy lobster and undercooked sweet potato fries. Thanks guys... I just wanted what I paid for.

Love this roadside stand. Picnic tables outside but the air conditioned dining area is clean but lonely. Fried fish highly recommended and wait staff is pleasant and patient

It's ok fried seafood but I would avoid going during Labor Day.

Reasonable prices for reasonable portions, good food tho. Even when busy the order prep periods are pretty short

Awesome roadside restuarant. Classic old style feel. Everything made fresh to order. Onion rings are to die for.

Kitchen and area looked dirty. Very overpriced for what you get and it does not taste that fresh. Ordered the famous lobster roll and whole clams and was quite unpleased. Nothing that seemed to make the roll famous and the clams were greasy and had so much fried batter that made it hard to taste the clam. I would not come back even if I was paid or being held gun point.

The best seafood & onion rings. Got the french fries & burger (seafood allergy), delicious!! And they have wonderful sense of humor 😁 Has been around a long time & it shows!

Best country store in NH. Phelps family did a wonderful job restoring the building and making this a center of community life in Danbury.

If your in the lakes region a must stop outdoor seating great menu one of our regular stops on the bike.

The clam strips were remarkably fresh and bright tasting.

The outdoor seating was nice but there seemed to be a lot of trash. The food was good. The bathroom was out of paper towels.

Delicious ice cream! Next time we'll eat lunch here, so many seafood options!We made a second visit for lunch, it was so good! I got the scallop roll and loved it. Can't beat the friendly service or their funny signs!

Tamarack's is a fun little seafood restaurant with many food choices. I would recommend the Tamarack basket which includes a variety of foods including fried shrimp and chicken tenders. For seafood, the price for anything is very acceptable and it has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

1 lobster roll $20.00 , A little too expensive, I have been @ d'angelo and they taste so much better for less money. Total disappointment.

Staff was nice. Thank you. 8.99 for a cheeseburger plus .50 charge for cheese is an unfair and deceptive business practice. 9.49 total for a cheeseburger is a Tourist Trap.

Had fried clam roll yesterday Cold to touch. Returned and they heated it up. All I could taste was sand. I threw them out It was not edible. Onion rings saved the day as they were delicious. Picnic area is nice and other customers were so nice and fun to be around while social distancing.I'm sure as the season goes on and staff is fully trained it will get better.

Overpriced and poor quality.

Food was good . Wish they would clean off picnic tables and wash trash container tops.Tops look like they haven't been cleaned all year. Would help keep down Flys.

This spot constantly delivers. They have excellent food for affordable pricing, there are no long waits even when they are packed.

Not just a place to eat but a required stop for tourists. If you stop here the lobster roll is a must. There is outside and inside dinning (in a seperate screened in building specifically for dining). Pricing and wait times are average for similar spaces to eat. This is a clam bar or dairy bar type place where you order at the window and pick up your order when your number is called. Food is made to order so there is a little bit of a wait but it's worth it. Service and food quality has always been good. If it's really busy parking can be tight but if needed there is parking across the street.

Stopped by for the first was not disappointed food was great hot and crispy didn't take long to get my order the staff was very friendly was lucky there wasn't a huge crowd ..now I know why there's always a crowd great food

Heard a lot of hype about this place but was very disappointed. First, during these times of covid-19 everyone in service is required to wear a mask, you would think everyone in food service would as otherwise they’re just getting all their germs onto your food as they handle it. Not a single person in this place had a mast on. Second, ordered $70 of food and as the cook said order up I looked and saw my full order, the person giving food to customers had the cook change my haddock sandwich and gave it to a customer 5 orders behind me (must be a local?) and I had to wait another 5 minutes for them to cook an another haddock fillet to complete my order. TOTAL BULLS*it

An excellent hometown restaurant. The seafood is decent, considering it’s not on the coast. I like the fried whole belly clams. The lobster roll is excellent, loaded with lobster and served in a hot dog bun, as it should be!
